When I sell a vehicle on Ebay, do they take a percentage of how much the car was sold for? I read that somewhere, but on Ebays site all I see are fees for listing, and bidding fees. I read they take 20% of the profit you made for the vehicle you sold. For example im planning on selling a vehicle for 14,500. If this is true with Ebay's 20% take I should only make 11,600. No Thanks. Does anyone know if this is true or not? Do they really take 20% of your profit or is it just selling fees? Thanks.

No, that is not correct. They have a listing fee and a final seller fee that usually don't add up to more than $125 unless you opt for some of the "extras". If you go to the eBay Motors site it will have a section that explains all the fees for selling a car.

How can you tell if a garage has replaced an engine? My daughter purchased a second hand car which came with a 3 month warranty. It had a light which came on on the dashboard. It went back to garage who did some work on it and returned it, but still a red light. After several trips to the garage, they eventually agreed they would fix the problem for once and for all and put a new engine in it at no cost to my daughter. Sadly this has not fixed the problem and they keep returning to garage and as not covered by the warranty have to pay each visit with no luck to the red light going. She's now ben told it will cost at least £700 to fix it! My parten thinks they have not changed the engine. I know she can find out the new engine number, but where might she find the old number. Any ideas about what she could do will be very much appreciated. When her husband asked the garage how much thry would give her to take the car back, they told her she needs to seek advice from a solicitor! That doesn't make any sense! Gasoline is highly flammable. Do not smoke or allow others around you to smoke while working with gasoline. Be aware of any sources of heat or spark, such as drop lights, electric tools or space heaters.

Gasoline vapors are highly toxic. Always work in a well-ventilated area.
